How To Extend The Range Of Your WiFi Network

The need to extend your office WiFi range is valid and needed because there might be some areas or rooms in your office that have weak signal strength or have no range at all.

You really need your work to keep on going with the same pace and efficiency as it is going on right now.

An easy way to manage your internet speed without facing any interruptions is to extend the range of your WiFi network.

Important: If you are looking for a way that will help you Enhance your Internet Speed around your Office Building you should have an Existing Network Setup.

A network system usually consists of a WiFi DSL modem and router. If you have witnessed any dead zones in your office recently, then this guide is just for you.

Following are some of the latest techniques that you can use for extending the range of your WiFi network.

Things You Can Do For WiFi Range Extension

For the people who are in dire need of an extended wireless network, but do not have enough sources to do so, follow the below-detailed methods.

We have brought different ways through which you can easily give a boost to your internet speed without connecting more wires to your modems and creating a mess.

Productivity counts a lot in the success of a business when you have an Ever-Growing and Supportive Team Around you.

Use Another Router And Extender

You can count on a wireless range extender. Wireless extenders also called repeaters are devices that catch signals from your router in the form of radio waves and repeat them after converting them to WiFi signals.

Most of the extenders set up within a minute by just plugging into an electric outlet. It amplifies your current network, which is why it becomes easier for an extender to expand the coverage area for you.

On the other hand, if you think that an extender may be too expensive for your budget, you can also connect another router with your existing router to work as a source of extended internet access to the no-signal areas.

Assign a channel to your main router and check for its DCHP range. Enter the main router’s user interface and connect the slave router with the main router (master router) directly through your PC.

Go For A 30/30 Reset

  • Reset the router by pressing the reset button on the bottom of the router for 30 seconds. Make sure that the router is plugged in while you reset it.
  • Keep holding the reset button and unplug the router from the power supply and wait for 30 seconds more.
  • Once you are done with it, press the reset button again and plug the router again with the power supply while you keep holding the button for 30 seconds.
  • This method is called the 30/30 reset because you wait for 30 seconds during every step of the resetting process.

Although, this method is still unproven for its efficiency and effectiveness, however giving it an initial start can do the work for you if your office is small to medium-sized.

Extend The Range With APS

Usually, a good router that is ideally designed to work for offices has access points through which you can easily increase the coverage area and range to extends towards the dead zones of your office building.

  • Check on your manufacturers if they have access points made for the router model you are currently using.
  • The APS are small hardware devices that connect directly to your router to repeat the signals.

Your Modem can be a high-speed FiOS line or a Cable Modem that you have connected to different other Ethernet Ports to support connection to the other devices such as laptops, PCs, and tablets.

Not only does it work well to extend the range of your router without adding more cables to it, but also boosts the speed.

Expanding your internet range with the APS technique can prove to be effective and budget-friendly to do the work for you without emptying your pockets.

Create A Mesh Network

Most of the large-scale companies use the mesh network technique to enjoy risk-free and full-speed internet.

They create multiple networks by connected different routers with each other and then multiple other devices with every router.

The mesh network is the most efficient way to keep a complete backup from years back. If anyone’s network gets down, the devices automatically shift to the other network in the mesh, which helps in data loss and recovery.
